The Advantages of Choosing Window Blinds by A Shade Better

Once blinds are installed in your home, the first thing you will notice is you have more control over the sunlight and how it enters your room. For instance, some window blinds have slats that close tighter than others (often referred to as “routeless”), minimizing the amount of light that is able to enter the room. Routeless blinds might be a good option for bedrooms, or a room with a home theater setup where light can reflect off the screen. Routeless blinds are explained in greater detail here.

Wood Blinds
Wood blinds are available in a huge selection of colors, patterns and styles. This allows you to create the perfect look for any room in your home, including your bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, dining and living room. A Shade Better offers a wide variety of blinds, including Hunter Douglas’s Parkland, Scenic, Classics, Textures and Weathered lines. We also carry Comfortex, Vista, and American Classic branded blinds.

Parkland Scenic blinds feature 100% basswood, and include a lovely mixture of stains and paints, creating a gorgeous wood grain. The color palette of the Parkland Scenic blinds features neutral whites and grays, which complement modern cabinetry and furniture colors.

Parkland Classics blinds are also 100% basswood. This collection offers you our biggest selection of slat sizes, paint colors and stains, allowing you to choose the perfect Window Blinds High Point, NC in your humble home.

Did you know that using natural textures in your home is a great way to add contrast to your décor? Our Parkland Textures blinds are created from a species of wood called abachi. This wood has a unique ticking appearance, which lends a modern matte texture to your blinds.

Parkland Weathered wood blinds also feature abachi wood. This collection presents a delicate texture that is wire-brushed onto the wood. This option will bring a lovely surface texture and depth to your windows.

Metal Blinds
When you want the focal point of your windows to be your beautiful view, consider our Hunter Douglas Reveal with Magnaview aluminum blinds. These aluminum blinds are designed to nest two slats together when tilted to the open position - providing you with double the view of a standard blind.

Our Natural Elements blinds feature a special combination of aluminum slats with a real wood valance, bottom rail, tassels and tilt wand. These aluminum blinds are available in a wide variety of finishes and colors. They offer you the ultimate amount of privacy and light control, all with a sleek, fashionable appearance. Many of our metal blinds are also available with the routless option.

Faux (or Alternative Wood) Blinds
If you're searching for an alternative to standard wood blinds, then our Everwood Renditions collection is for you. This economical blind collection features wood grain colors and white finishes, which are perfect if you have rooms moisture or large temperature changes (think bathroom or garage). Our Everwood Faux blinds will lend a bright, classic appearance to any area with high traffic. Hunter Douglas backs its entire Everwood line with a written guarantee that they will not warp, bow, fade, or discolor.

Vertical Window Blinds
Did you know that vertical blinds are perfect for wide window expanses or sliding glass doors. Our Hunter Douglas vertical blinds are available in hundreds of colors, fabrics and materials. We offer four main types of vertical blinds, including Cadence, Somner, Skyline and Vertical Solutions.

A Shade Better has blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies for any color or style of décor. We can’t wait to help you transform your High Point home into a work of art! Call us today for a free estimate!

My wife is trying to make her bathroom look nicer. I will let her know that faux blinds are good for bathrooms since they can handle high temperatures and moisture. I didn't know there were so many types of blinds. If you are like me and learned about new types of blinds from this article then you should probably consult a window company.

I love that you talked about choosing the right window blinds. It's a perfect timing for us since we are looking for a new window blind design for our newly renovated house. I would be considering the wood blind type but can also go after a metal one.

I liked it when you said that alternative wood blinds are perfect for rooms with temperature changes. One of my brothers recently moved to a new house, and his living room is always at high temperatures. I will recommend him to get some shades to diminish the heat of the rooms.

It was really helpful when you said that you can create a perfect look in any room with wooden blinds! My sister just recently moved into a newer apartment and was wanting to get blinds for her living room. I'll make sure to pass this information along to her so she can look into getting wooden blinds installed.

Blinds are cheap, easy to clean, and have better light control so what else you need to choose a blinder? I don’t see any other reason not to go for it, by the way nice comparison you have done. But blinder wins clearly!

It's helpful that you point out that vertical blinds are great for sliding glass doors. I have a sliding glass door in my living room that needs a covering, so I'm thinking about buying vertical blinds for it. I'm going to look for a good business in my area that can sell me some vertical blinds.

I like how you said that you can create the perfect look for your blinds by getting them in whatever color or pattern that you want. I would love for my living room to have a nice light yellow accent from the blinds. The couches are dark brown so maybe a light tan looks better.

I found it interesting when you mentioned that blinds have different functions that will suit your every need. After moving to our current area, my wife is planning to have cordless aluminum blinds that will match our room perfectly and asked me if I have any idea what is the best option to do. You did a great job of sharing ideas and I'll be sure to tell her that consulting a trusted blinds place can help us with our concerns.

I'm glad you mentioned that wood blinds come in a big selection of styles and colors. My wife and I recently purchased a new home, and we would like to get some plantation shutters installed on our windows. Having a wide selection will be helpful because we want to make sure that the shutters match the blue color of our house.

I appreciated how this post discussed that aluminium blinds offer a fashionable look to your home. That's probably why my mother wants to add aluminium Venetian window blinds in our home. I think we should go for it and pick the best fit for our interior.
